Batman: Eternal, the new weekly comic series DC is launching in spring 2014, will shake up the world of the Caped Crusader. According to Tim Seeley, one of the five writers behind the weekly series, the comic is also a celebration of Batman during his 75th anniversary — putting him into different genre stories, reviving characters and concepts from his history, and introducing new ideas into Gotham’s landscape.

March 2014 marks the twentieth anniversary of Mike Mignola’s career-defining release of Hellboy: Seed of Destruction #1. To celebrate, Dark Horse is proclaiming March 22, 2014 as “Hellboy Day”. Additionally, Dark Horse will produce an all-new sampler comic featuring two classic Mignola tales: “The Ghoul” and “Another Day at The Office,” as well as two new stories by Mignola, Fabio Moon, and R. Marvel Entertainment is have announced an all-new original graphic novel,X-Men: No More Humans by best-selling author and Mike Carey and superstar artist Salvador Larroca. This 128-page hardcover hits comic shops and bookstores everywhere on May 7, 2014 and is the first X-Men original graphic novel since the classic X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills.

Image Comics has announced Chris Roberson’s newest creator-owned series “Sovereign” will debut in March 19, 2014. Illustrated by Paul Maybury, “Sovereign” explores a different take on the classic high fantasy genre.

Max Bemis is fighting the power with his next comic “Evil Empire.” The Say Anything frontman and “Polarity” writer returns to BOOM! Studios with a 16-issue maxi-series launching on March 5. The series finds a controversial rapper named Reese rising up to fight a growing menace that threatens to turn a world very much like our own into the type of oppressed society found in numerous sci-fi tales.

“Rambo” creator David Morrell’s long in-development “Spider-Man: Frost” story saw print this month at Marvel, but the author isn’t happy with the final product. Morrell expressed disappointment with changes he said were made to his script for the second part of the story. “Someone at Marvel changed my captions, added weak jokes, repeated captions, deleted captions from panels that needed them, and inserted one caption that contradicts the theme,” Morrell wrote.
