Retro seemed to be the fashion for a few books this week, including Geoff Senior‘s fantastic 80’s inspired Transformers ReGeneration One #84 – complete with Megatron opening an almighty can of whup-ass! – and another Action Comics #1 parody, this time from Dan Parent on the front of Kevin Keller #5. Arthur Adams has supplied a typically brilliant front for Secret Avengers #32, while the alternate Batman #13 cover by Greg Capullo features an eerie looking New 52 Joker applying his make-up. The Road To Oz #2 was another fine piece of work from Skottie Young and Mark Texteira‘s Space Punisher #4 has been favoured around the ACE offices for various reasons including ‘He’s got a cape on’ and ‘Because he’s saying “Buy this comic or I shoot this planet!”‘.
However, sitting loftily at the top of the pile is…
…Point Of Impact #1 by newcomer Koray Kuranel. This cover is full of style, mood, mystery and peril. All the good ingredients that should make you want to pick up a comic book and read!
