FREE COMICS
This year marks the largest FREE COMIC BOOK DAY with close to sixty comics available to choose from, including fan-favourite and new comic book characters that encourages readers to explore the fun and excitement that comics have to offer. There’s a free comic book for everyone’s taste from superheroes to action/adventure and all-ages favourites.
So that everyone can enjoy some great free-reading, there is a limit of six free comics per family.

ADVENTURE TIME COLOURING COMPETITION
To celebrate FREE COMIC BOOK DAY on May 3rd 2014, we want you to colour a picture of Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum and Lady Rainicorn from Adventure Time! You can make it bright and colourful, and even add your favourite characters from the land of Oo, if you like.
Return your completed picture to your local ACE Comics on or before Saturday 3rd May, and the entry voted best by ACE will win a 6-Issue Subscription to a comic book of their choice!
We will also put our favourite entries on display instore and on our Facebook page.

The fabulous ACE Comics FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 50p Back Issue Sale returns on May 3rd!
There will be a veritable smorgasbord of over 4000 selected back issues available from various publishers, dating back at least 20 years, all for just 50p each! The back issue sales will run throughout the day in our Colchester and Southend stores and in Red Hot Comics in Glasgow.

Horror make-up artist Clive Double will be in the Colchester store on Saturday to convert regular customers into the army of the undead. We are asking for a minimum donation of £5 in order to be transformed, with all of the proceeds going to Invasion Colchester, the fundraising event collecting money for CoHoC (Colchester Hospitals Charity) and St Helena Hospice!
