Biff's Bit: Porcelain
At last, the third volume in the Porcelain series is available!
This gothic fairy tale for all ages has beautifully crafted artwork and a story that takes you in all directions. It makes you smile, it makes you cry and Chris Wildgoose’s art is some of the best in the comic industry. His clear black lines, detailed backgrounds and wonderfully crafted characters have helped create a unique world which is both modern and old fashioned, both scientific and magical. So good is he that DC comics have signed him on to Batgirl: Rebirth from issue #7.
In this third volume, ten years have passed since the end of volume two. 'Lady' has become a mother and stays hidden behind the high walls of her tower, cut off from the world, she has sacrificed everything to keep her children safe. There are ruthless enemies outside these walls that want the power that 'Lady' controls and they will not stop.
Benjamin Read takes us on a slightly darker journey with this third volume, but be prepared to be entranced. I cannot recommend these books too highly. They are my personal favourite graphic novels of the last ten years!
Mission for the month:
To enter a meditative trance and keep repeating in your head "Impeach Donald Trump". Maybe the world’s Christmas present will be delivered!
