Agent Coulson joins the Marvel Comic Universe
Agent Phil Coulson, a key operative for the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, or S.H.I.E.L.D. as they’re more commonly known, has joined the Marvel Comic Universe in Battle Scars #6, which hits the shelves today!
Coulson has been portrayed by Clark Gregg in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and Avengers Assemble (which is released TOMORROW!!)

Writer Ryan Stegman’s fave Avengers…
As we get ready for the beginning of an Avengers fuelled week (in case you’ve been living in a cupboard for the last few months, the movie Avengers Assemble is released on Thursday 26th April!), Marvel have spoken to upcoming Fantastic Four artist Ryan Stegman, who looks at his list [of favourite Avengers] from a fan and artistic perspective!
The Hulk – “One of my favorite characters to draw. I also enjoy him as a character, obviously. But if I were ever to draw AVENGERS I’d want The Hulk on the team just because I’d want to draw him.”
Captain America – “Because he’s Captain America.”
Quicksilver – “Again, I chose this one because of what I like to draw. And speedsters are super fun. I haven’t had the chance to draw many speedsters yet, but I think it would fit my style pretty well. So this would be cool.”
Wolverine – “Wolverine is always cool on any team. Gives them an edge. He’s a loose cannon so it always elevates the intensity.”
Black Widow – “Any character that can be portrayed by Scarlett Johansson in skin-tight pleather is good by me.”
