Week 42 had yet another fine selection of covers on display, and here’s our picks of the bunch.
David Aja was maintaining the high standard of super-stylin’ on the front of Hawkeye #3, while Michael and Laura Allred produced a beautiful cover to It Girl and the Atomics #3. Ultimates Comics Spider-Man #16, by David Marquez with Rain Beredo has been praised by our resident Spider-Man expert for it’s use of perspective and ‘twisty-webs’ and the creepy element is ratcheted up a notch in the eerie covers for Marvel Zombies Halloween by ACE fave Francesco Francavilla and Batwoman #13 by J.H. Williams, III.
But this close to Halloween, our vote for week 42 goes to…
BPRD 1948 #1 by Dave Johnson. A girl with weird red stuff coming out of her sleeves and eye sockets, tentacles with tentacles and a nuclear mushroom cloud. What more could you ask for? Teeth. (-shudder)
